Time for the second interview in the series. This interview is with Mitchell Sjofjan, the newest member of the team and the new owner of the beautiful brown skyline we saw around Sweden last year. One of my favorite cars of 2013.
A few quick questions to kick off this interview.
Name? Mitchell Sjofjan
Occupation? Test driver
Where do you currently live? Just southwest of Stockholm, in a town called Södertälje
Music of choice while in the garage? Anything that doesn’t have the word “tonight” in it, I hate songs with the word tonight in them, it’s such a lazy way out of a lyrical mess of bad word choices.
Something about you that most people don’t know? My first name is Ryan
If you are banned from the garage for a weekend what would you be doing instead? Watch action movies for 48 straight hours
Tell us a bit about the team.
Well, I’m the newest member of the group and we live pretty far apart, so I haven’t gotten to know them very well yet. But summer is going to change that as we are going to several car meets and events together, something that I very much look forward to.
Tell us about your teamcar, what is it built for? racing, drifting or showcar?
I would have to say my R32 GTR is built to be schizophrenic, it’s very stanced and low to the ground. But at the same time it makes 463whp and can make a grown man scream like a little girl in fear as the turbo kicks in. It’s fast, trust me. Engine wise it’s a bored up to 2,7L and converted to single-turbo with mostly Greddy and HKS parts. I bought this car fairly recent and so I cannot take any credit for the things done to it, I’ll drive the car as it is this year and change some things next year to make it a little more “me”.
What are you looking forward to the most this summer?
Hang out with my shotmonkey family and drive the Skyline as much as I possibly can.
For everyone out there that has a dream to build a car like yours, whats your tip for them?
Daydreaming will get you nowhere, you need to put your dreams or plans into motion yourself.
One day while working in your backyard you find gold! You can now afford your dreamcar, what would you buy?
A couple of years ago I tried to import a flawless Datsun 610 from the US, If I found gold I would buy that particular 610 in a heartbeat.
Finally I will be going to as many events as possible this year, which one must i not miss?
Personally I would say Gatebil at Mantorp park, I like to see some action in between looking at awesome cars.
